South Africa’s population has a youth majority – people under the age of 35 make up about 78% of the total population. By motivating our youth to be active solution-seekers and implementers who have the courage, skills and knowledge to become contributing citizens of South Africa, we can change the nation.
South Africa’s National Youth Policy (2009-2014) is geared towards prioritising the needs of young people with respect to education, health and well-being, economic participation and social cohesion. Empowervate and its programmes, such as The Youth Citizens Action Programme,, will assist in meeting the aims of this policy as well as the National Development Plan.
There is great benefit in investing in young people by creating pathways for accelerated development. Empowervate aims to empower and motivate youth to become contributing citizens.
