South Africa’s population has a youth majority; people under the age of 35 make up about 78% of the total population. South Africa, our nation can be changed if we motivate our youth to be active solution-seekers and implementers who have the courage, skills and knowledge to become contributing citizens.
South Africa’s National Youth Policy (2009-2014) is geared towards prioritising the needs of young people with respect to education, health and well-being, economic participation and social cohesion. Empowervate and its flagship programme, The Youth Citizens Action Programme, will assist in meeting the aims of this policy as well as the National Development plan.
Empowevate aims to empower and motivate children and youth to become active and contributing citizens by aiding in creating pathways for accelerated development.
