Take the stairs

We are the young generation
Subsequent preeminents of the nation
Kings and queens of
Africa.
We rise and shine ,
Shine and rise
We, the diamonds of this planetary
Glistening like stars in the
Sky at night .
The masters,profs,authorities said it.
They said pedagogy is the key
to prosperity ,
to victories ,
to great joy, great accomplishments ,
Motswedi wa kitso,
Motswedi wa katlego,
Motswedi wa boitumelo,
Indeed, there’s no hoist to success
you have to take the stairs .
Look at our sisters,
Look at our brothers,
Mothers, fathers,forebears
Sitting down there,making exculpations
‘Cause they tried,
They tried taking an elevator to success
Shh SILENT!…………
Black child open the eyes
Be originative.
Be bold.
Be audacious ,
Venturesome,
Ventrous .
Head up
Take the stairs
